As director, I have the unique opportunity to create a caring home away from home environment here at North Oaks Country. Children need to feel safe and secure while their parent's work. The staff at NOC has always provided a stable and consistent daily routine for their students. As one of our staffers so appropriately put it, "We treat our students the way we would want others to treat our children." Positive reinforcements and praise are just some of the ways we encourage our students to excel.

Our Preschool program uses hands on activities such as cooking to promote the ideas related to science and math. We also use art and music to promote number, letter, color and shape recognition.

Our Pre-K program has always been especially recognized by parents as having a very positive influence on their children. We are so proud of our reputation between principals and kindergarten teachers in the RRISD. They can always pick out NOC graduates because these children are very self-assured and feel comfortable in their new school. Good social skills come naturally to these children because at NOC they are put into practice as an integral part of the daily routine.

At NOC children are treated as unique individuals -- this center is known for quality not quantity. Children are our legacies. It really does "take a village to raise a child" and NOC has been a strong influence and leader in our village for over twenty-five years. These years of service to the community and its families speak for themselves.

Thank you for the opportunity and privilege of caring for your child.
